Pike announces first Welsh squad

FAW U18 Semi-Pro manager Mark Pike has named his first squad for the forthcoming International against Ireland at the BookPeople Stadium.

Pike, the Head of Youth at Port TalbotTown, has named a strong squad which includes five players with Welsh Premier League experience this season.

Port Talbot Under 19′s Connah James McFenton, Callum Holden and Ross Findlay are all named in the squad whilst Joe Holland is named on the stand-by list.

CarmarthenTown duo Iestyn Evans and Sam Wilson, AberystwythTown duo Liam James and Rhydian Davies as well as BalaTown’s young starlet Ryan Jones are all included.

Newtown’s young reserve ‘keeper Luke Evans and Zyacc Edwards of Airbus – who is the brother of Wales Semi Pro Under 23 captain Kai Edwards – are all on the fringe of their club’s Welsh Premier League side.
